The location I found here is situated in Hargate Forest which is local to me which would mean for the group, it will also be easy for them to get here! This location is good as with out the flash on, it can be dark which is conventional of horror movies, especially stalker which is part of our concept. This location is an old World War 2 bomb shelter and over the rusty iron gate are very steep stairs which if you go to the bottom, is flooded and you can hear water dripping which I thought will be good as it's also dark and scary. Outside of the bomb shelters are woods which can be useful as part of our film.
Hazards with the location
- uneven surfaces which means there is the potential of tripping up.
- there are a few false widow spiders which can bite you if you go near them.
- behind the gate, the stairs are very steep so this could be dangerous.
- there is the potential of getting lost in the woods if someone decides to wonder off.
Preventing these hazards:
- watch where you are walking when in the bomb shelters, because if you trip you will hurt yourself. Also if you trip whilst holding the camera, you will break it, so take extra care.
- if you see a spider, do not go near it or disturb it, let it get on with what it's doing and it will not bite you.
- if going down the stairs, go slowly and careful and watch what you are doing.
- to ensure no one gets lost, all stay in a group at all times and if you get lost, check your phone on maps and you will be able to find your way out!
Well done - this is a very promising location, well considered recce here. It would be good to see more images / different angles of the location.
